It's official, I'm starting to get nervous now.
A few days ago, as I was in the course of running around the city arranging wedding details I stopped at a Taco Bell to grab lunch. The girl who rang me up at the cash register peered at my left hand and requested a closer look at my diamond, saying she just loved jewelry.
"You married?" she asked
"No, not yet. But I will be very soon." I replied.
"Aaawww, now, I wouldn't never do that. Not so young! You shouldn't do sumtum so serious!"
Great, the cashier at Taco Bell is trying to talk me out of getting married.
"No, I'm certain of this one - I'm his world, and he's the only one for me." I said.
"Well, so you think, but if he up and leave ya' later than he waren't never so very yours now, was he?"
"He wouldn't do something like that. There are only a few men like him left in the world, I admit, but there are a few and I claim this one."
She didn't believe me. "Well, okay, I guess it's up to you."
I wasn't sure how offended to get.
In less than three weeks I'll be someone's wife.
That is just weird.
